Transition Management

I successfully re-staffed and streamlined an accounting department for a 200 employee company whose executive management team had recently undergone a significant re-structure. At the time, roughly 50% of the department retired or resigned within 8 weeks.  I successfully sourced new staff members and used the opportunity to revisit and automate several processes that were reliant on manual data entry and reconciliation.  I successfully cut the department's staff payroll by 30% while continuing to meet all existing department deadlines and goals.

Multi-State Client requested integration of data from their proprietary sales and operations software platform with their accounting, payroll and timekeeping systems.  Working closely with the management team, we successfully integrated data from several siloed systems into a comprehensive data model that supports budgeting and forecasting.  This integration proved invaluable in helping management navigate rapid and unexpected changes in labor availability and profit margins and develop strategic initiatives to course correct as needed throughout the year.

I have routinely developed tax advantaged organizational structures and plans that have ultimately resulted in reduction in my clients' annual tax liability by up to 25%.

Enterprise Software Implementation

I was tasked to overhaul an antiquated accounting system consisting of fragmented software applications and excel based reporting for a $25 Million Revenue company.  I worked with the existing management team to develop workflows and arranged comprehensive training for accounting, operations and administration personnel.  The system was live in under 6 months and the resultant reduction in extraneous reporting, reconciliation hours and personnel netted the client sufficient savings to fully offset the cost of the software within 2 years.

Capital Acquisition

Over the course of my career, I have structured and negotiated approximately $500 million in commercial financing transactions.  I understand the needs of both the Client and financiers and seek to find creative solutions to get deals across the finish line.

Department Efficiency

Asked to act as a temporary replacement for the outgoing controller for a $30 Million Revenue client.  In my time with the client, we implemented additional controls and processes to transition from a quarterly soft close to a comprehensive monthly close that was GAAP compliant and positioned to support the client as their  accounting needs grow increasingly more complex.
